A rebel without a cause

 The nail biting contest between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot now appears like a family feud between a father figure-trying to save Congress government- an impetuous child bent on toppling it’s own house. The ongoing saga has also exposed the modus operandi of how KL media (Khan market+Lutyens) arm twist political leadership. In this context, Ashok Gehlot’s remark -good Hindi-English, good looks- purportedly made against former PCC chief is also a serious indictment of KL media. 

In contrast to KL, the social media post and observations on the Rajasthan political crisis shows how media was clueless about the ground situation and kept on ranting out the false narrative. One such false narrative, manufactured by a section of Delhi media, was that Sachin Pilot was not getting his ‘due’ for his hard work on ground. In polarised politics of our time and right-wing assault on the idea of India, the litmus test for a Congressi is to steadfast loyalty to the idea of India, ideology and idea of our nationalist forefathers, commitment to the organisation, unfettered resolve to fight communalism and unflinching determination to protect democracy. Hard work cannot be traded and substituted for determination to abide by all these ideals. I have joined NSUI in 1992 and got elected to the post of student union President (1995) in a small town of Rajasthan. My parents were just mere public servants and many relatives advised against me joining the politics. However, it was the support of NSUI, first and, then Indian Youth Congress, under the aegis of Shri Rahul Gandhi that encouraged and transformed me into a loyal soldier of Congress and defender of idea of India, an idea that BJP is bent upon destroying.  I have given 28 year of my youth life to Congress organisation. In fact, I joined congress 12 years earlier than Sachin Pilot. On many occasion, I have expressed my desire to contest state election and still trying to get a chance.      Someone will say that I am an impractical person who gave 28 years of my life to organisation and didn’t move out when overlooked for ticket. However, I would say I didn’t reduce my politics to just becoming an MLA/MP or Chief minister’s post.  So those who jump out of the ship at first moment are the ones who was always into the ship because it was a safe heaven. 

I, like thousands of others cadre of Congress party, may not have secured a chance to become youngest MP, young PCC chief, and youngest deputy CM of Rajasthan. But Congress party did recognise my hard work at the college, district, state level and gave me a chance to became all-India Vice-President of NSUI (2003-2005) and, then promoted to the post of national general secretary of Indian Youth Congress for two-terms (2005-10). So Sachin Pilot got an MP ticket in the age of 26, when we were honing our skills at NSUI/IYC for almost an decade. Currently, I am office bearer of All India Mahila Congress. 

Those batting for young ‘Turks’ must understand that Ashok Gehlot is among the few  seasoned politician from North India who can counter Modi-Amit Shah duo, both at state level and national level. I am not saying this because Ashok Gehlot comes  from a very humble family background, or because he have organisational working experience of 40 years or he served as chief minister for 3 times. His popularity among the masses is the product of his love for his people and a clean image.  From Gujarat to Karnataka, he countered Modi and Amit Shah efffctively. The efficient tackling of a present 

crisis, where BJP almost toppled the state government by using money and muscle power, proves again he is the master of politics and progressive-secular forces needs him more at the helm of affair. 

As far as Sachin Pilot’s insinuation about truth( सत्य परेशान हो सकता हैं पराजित नही) is concerned, I must say…

मुसलमानों का मोदी बनने का प्रयास कर रहे ओवैसी के खिलाफ मोर्चा खोला शबनम हाशमी ने

ऩई दिल्ली। गुजरात के नरेन्द्र मोदी के खिलाफ मोर्चा लेती रहीं सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता शबनम हाशमी ने मुसलमानों के मोदी बनने का प्रयास करने वाले इत्तेहादुल मुसलमीन के विधायक अकबरउद्दीन ओवैसी के खिलाफ मोर्चा खोल दिया है। अकबरउद्दीन ओवैसी पर आरोप है कि अदिलाबाद जिले के निर्मल टाउन में एक सभा को संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने काफी भड़काऊ बयान दिये। उनका बयान यू ट्यूब पर भी मौजूद है जो सोशल साइट्स पर वायरस की तरह फैल रहा है।

ऩई दिल्ली के पार्लियामेन्ट स्ट्रीट के डीसीपी को प्रेषित अपनी शिकायत में शबनम हाशमी ने लिखा है कि एमआईएम के आंध्र प्रदेश विधान सभा के सदस्य श्री अकबरुद्दीन ओवैसी द्वारा 24 दिसंबर, 2012 को आंध्र प्रदेश के निर्मल शहर में बेहद भड़काऊ भाषण दिया गया था। पूरा भाषण बेहद आपत्तिजनक है, हिंदू धर्म के खिलाफ भड़काऊ और हमारी सांस्कृतिक विरासत के खिलाफ है। यह हमारे संवैधानिक मूल्यों, लोकतंत्र और धर्मनिरपेक्ष मूल्यों पर एक तगड़ा हमला है। ऐसे अप्रिय भाषण समाज को विभाजित करते हैं, शांति भंग करते हैं और सांप्रदायिक दंगों की पृष्ठभूमि तैयार करते हैं।
शबनम हाशमी ने ओबैसी के खिलाफ आईजीसी की धारा 153ए के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज करने की माँग की है। शबनम हाशमी का पूरा पत्र इस प्रकार है–

Dear Sir,

I am writing to you to draw your attention to the speech of Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi, given a few days ago. The speech is available on you tube and is being circulated on the facebook extensively.

This highly inflammatory speech made by Mr. Akbaruddin Owaisi of MIM and member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly was delivered on December 24, 2012 in Nirmal town of Andhra Pradesh.
The whole speech is highly objectionable, inflammatory against the Hindu religion and against our cultural heritage. It is a strong attack on the values of our constitution, democracy and secular values. Such obnoxious speeches divide society, vitiate peace and lead to conflicts and riots.

I request you to immediately register a case against Mr Akbarudddin Owaisi under section 153 A of the IPC. I request you to take exemplary action in this very serious matter to ensure that such intolerable acts are never repeated again, anywhere by anyone and secure peace and harmony in the country.

This speech falls under this section as it has clearly causing enmity between different groups on grounds of religion and is causing a threat to communal harmony.

1[153A. Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc., and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony.—(1) Whoever—

(a) By words, either spoken or written, or by signs or by visible representations or otherwise, promotes or attempts to promote, on grounds of religion, race, place or birth, residence, language, caste or community or any other ground whatsoever, disharmony or feelings of enmity, hatred or ill-will between different religious, racial, language or regional groups or castes or communities, or

(b) Commits any act which is prejudicial to the maintenance of harmony between different religious, racial, language or regional groups or castes or communities, and which disturbs or is likely to disturb the public tranquility, 2[or]

2[(c) Organizes any exercise, movement, drill or other similar activity intending that the participants in such activity shall use or be trained to use criminal force or violence of knowing it to be likely that the participants in such activity will use or be trained to use criminal force or violence, or participates in such activity intending to use or be trained to use criminal force or violence or knowing it to be likely that the participants in such activity will use or be trained to use criminal force or violence, against any religious, racial, language or regional group or caste or community and such activity for any reason whatsoever causes or is likely to cause fear or alarm or a feeling of insecurity amongst members of such religious, racial, language or regional group or caste or community,]

Shall be punished with imprisonment which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both.

Offence committed in place of worship, etc.— (2) Whoever commits an offence specified in sub-section (1) in any place of worship or in any assembly engaged in the performance of religious worship or religious ceremonies, shall be punished with imprisonment which may extend to five years and shall also be liable to fine.]

आखिर क्यूँ?

28 दिसंबर कांग्रेस स्थापना दिवस पर रामलीला मैदान, जयपुर में "संकल्प रैली एवं विशाल जन सभा' का आयोजन किया गया, कार्यक्रम सफलता पूर्वक संपन्न हुआ।परन्तु दिन भर के व्यस्तता के बाद जब टी वी खोल तो बड़ी दुखद खबर का सामना हुआ- दिल्ली गैंग रेप पीड़ित लड़की की हालत बेहद नाजुक, कई अंगों ने काम करना बंद किया :-( दिल से एक ही प्रार्थना निकली कि ईश्वर उसे शीघ्र स्वास्थ्य लाभ प्रदान करे तथा एक सामान्य जीवन जीने का एक और मौका दे। परन्तु आख़िरकार जीवन और मृत्यु के बीच का संघर्ष समाप्त हुआ, आखिरकार जिंदगी हारी। पीडिता ने देर रात 29 दिसम्बर को अंतिम साँस ली। शोक, क्षोभ, पीड़ा, क्रोध ये सभी भाव एक साथ मन में जाग उठे :( दिल से एक ही प्रार्थना निकली - "हे भगवान इस दुनियां में तो उसे दर्द, पीड़ा और यातना मिली, परन्तु उसे आप अपने आपर स्नेह से सकून व शांति प्रदान करना। उसके प्रियजनों को इस दुःख की घडी में संबल देना।" आज ये सोच के और तकलीफ होती है की 2000 से 2005 तक पी एच डी के कार्य के लिए तीन मूर्ति व् राष्ट्रिय अभिलेखागार जाने हेतु, NSUI व युवा कांग्रेस में राष्ट्रिय पदाधिकारी रहते हुए कार्यालय जाने हेतु दिल्ली की बसों की सवारी मैंने भी बहुत की थी, रात में इनमे यात्रा तब भी सुरक्षित नहीं थी आज भी नहीं है। परन्तु मै शायद भाग्यशाली थी।

इस घटना ने सबको हिल कर रख दिया नए कठोर कानून की मांग जोर शोर से उठाई जा रही है। परन्तु मेरी व्यक्तिगत रे तो यह कि सिर्फ नया कानुन बना देने से समस्या का समाधान नहीं होगा, कानुन लागु भी होना चाहिए। अपराध की सजा तुरन्त मिलनी चाहिए। महिलाओं के प्रति समाज में पुरुषों की सोच बदलनी चाहिए, नेता और पुलिस इसी समाज में से ही आते है। परन्तु अफसोस तब होता है जब मै पुरुषों की सोच बदलने की बात फेसबुक पर करती हूँ बहुत लोग इस बात को सिरे से नकार देते है कि किसी बदलाव की आवश्यकता भी है, ऐसे में बदलाव बहुत दूर नजर आता है। आखिर 100 करोड़ से अधिक की आबादी में कुछ हजार हाथों में कैंडल से सामाजिक बदलाव नहीं आएगा, बदलाव के लिए करोड़ों हाथों के उठाने की जरुरत पड़ेगी। आखिर सबकुछ सिखाया जा सकता है, परन्तु दुसरे की भावनाओं की कद्र करना किसी को कैसे सिखाया जा सकता है? आखिर ये तो महसूस करने की बात है, ना कि सिखाने की।  

अब देखिये मध्य प्रदेश के एक मंत्री का बयान आया " लक्ष्मण रेखा न लांघे, वरना हरण तो  ही।" मतलब सीता हरण में कसूर सीता का था रावण का नहीं? वाह री दोहरी मानसिकता और दोहरे मापदंड! जिस धर्म में अर्धनारीश्वर की कल्पना हो, उस समाज में लक्ष्मण रेखा सिर्फ महिलाओं के लिए ही क्यूँ? क्या पुरुषों के लिए कोई लक्ष्मण रेखा नहीं होनी चाहिए? भगवान आपसे से एक प्रार्थना है, इस देश में जितने भी पुरुष इस तरह की दोहरी मानसिकता वाले है उन्हें अगले जन्म में महिला बना के पैदा करें और उन्हें इस जन्म की सोच और कर्म याद रहें। आपके लिए भी ये देखना रोचक होगा की उनकी सोच वही रहती है या बदलती है :) अफ़सोस आज हर कोई महिलाओं की मर्यादा, महिमा, उनको पूजे जाने के बारे में बात कर रहा है। परन्तु कोई भी उनकी आजादी, अधिकार और बराबरी की चर्चा तक नहीं करता। आखिर क्यूँ?

दिल्ली रेप केस- एक और विवाद

कांस्टेबल की म्रत्यु में एक और विवाद जुड़ गया है। कल जहाँ एक चश्मदीद ने ये बताया की उसने और एक लड़की ने कांस्टेबल को संभाला था, जब वो बेहोश हो के गिरे थे, उसने एम्बुलेंस को भी कॉल किया था। एम्बुलेंस के ना आने पर उन्हें पुलिस की गाडी से ही हॉस्पिटल ले जाया गया। आज आर ऍम एल हॉस्पिटल की डोक्टर ने बयान दिया की कांस्टेबल सुभाष तोमर को कोई अन्दुरुनी गंभीर छोटे नहीं थी। उनकी मौत दिल का दौरा पड़ने से हुई। फिरर गृह सचिव की ये बयान आया की कमिशनर ने गलत जाकारी दी। आखिर ये सब क्या हो रहा है??? क्या कमिशनर साहेब अपने ही कास्टेबल की मौत पर राजनीति करके अपनी गलतियों को ढकने की कोशिशि तो नहीं कर रहे??? अगर ये सच है तो घोर कलयुग है, जब अपने ही अधिनस्थ कार्य करने वाले की आपको फ़िक्र नहीं (होती तो दिल के मरीज की ड्युटी आप फिल्ड में नहीं डेस्क पर लगते), तो आम जनता आपसे क्या अपेक्षा करे????

आज कल रेप मामलो पे होने वाली बहस में बहुत से लोग लड़कियों के पहनावे पर, देर रात घुमाने पर सवाल खड़ा करते है। मेरे उनसे सवाल है 1. छोटी बच्चियों, विवाहित महिलाओं, देहात में होने वाले रेप की घटनाओं के संदर्भ में वो क्या कहेंगे? 2. महिला कोई भी अंग हल्का सा प्रदर्शित हो जाये तो पुरषों की क्यूँ लार टपकने लगाती है? आपको कोई कैसे रेप के लिए निमंत्रित कर सकता है? self control भी कोई चीज होंती है। आखिर गन्दगी सोच और निगाह में है तभी तो? उदहारण के लिए खजुराहो की मूर्तियों में कुछ को नंगापन दिखता है, तो कुछ को कला- जाकी रही भावना जैसी प्रभु मूरत देखि वैसी। यदि कम  कपडे पहनने से बलात्कार होते है तो हमारे आदिवासी क्षेत्रों मे, अफ्रीका में, यूरोप और अमेरिका में हर लड़की से बलात्कार होना चाहिए तथा इस्लामिक देशों और हमारे देहात जहाँ ओरते घर की चारदीवारी और परदे में रहती है एक भी बलात्कार नहीं होना चाहिए। बलात्कार कपड़ों का मुद्दा नहीं है, ये तो किसी पुरुष की विकृत मानसिकता का परिणाम होता है। 3. लड़कियाँ क्यों खुले आम अपने कार्य से उतनी ही निश्चिन्तता से घूम सकती है जीतनी की पुरुष घुमाते है? आखिर खतरा किस से है?

और तो और बहुत से लोग आज कल फेसबुक और ट्विटर पर ये भी कह रहे है पुलिस नाकारा हो चुकी है, अपनी रक्षा खुद करनी होगी। ये क्या बात हुयी??? हमारे दिए हुए टेक्स से पुलिस को तनख्वा मिलाती है, यदि ये हमारी सुरक्षा नहीं कर सकते, और हमें खुद ही अपनी सुरक्षा करनी है, तो हटाओ इन्हें नौकरी से और बंद कर दो सब थाने।

नार्थ ब्लाक से इंडिया गेट

अगर आप ने कल नार्थ ब्लाक से इंडिया गेट की बीच समय गुजर होता तो आप देख पाते कि मात्र 16 से 22 साल उम्र के (90% इसी उम्र के युवा दिखाई पड़े) छात्र छात्राएं- "We want justice, hang the rapist", "दिल्ली पुलिस एक काम काटो, चूड़ियाँ पहन के डांस करो", "रेप करने वालों का, काट डालो सालों का" इत्यादि नारे लगा रहे थे। ये युवा कभी रोष से भरे नारे लगा रहे थे, तो राष्ट्रीयता की भावना प्रदर्शित करते हुए राष्ट्रिय ध्वज फहरा रहे थे, तो भावुकता से भरे राष्ट्र गान गा रहे थे। टी वी कैमरों की स्थान पर खुद की निगाहों से देखने पे आन्दोलन को व्यक्यिगत तौर पर समझने का अवसर मिलाता है, जो बेहद अद्भुत था। मैंने अपने कैमरे में द्रश्यों को कैद भी किया।

आज फिर जब इन्ही बच्चों को पुलिस से झड़प करते देखा तो ख्याल आया कि जब बच्चा अपनी किसी वाजिब मांग को मातापिता के सम्मुख रखता है और मातापिता द्वारा उपेक्षा किये जाने पर हल्ला मचाता है, फिर यदि मातापिता द्वारा बिना वजह दण्डित होता है तो गुस्से में कभी कभी तोड़ फोड़ करके भी अपनी और ध्यान आकृषित करने का प्रयास करता है। क्या छात्रो के इस आन्दोलन में भी यही मनोविज्ञान नहीं दिखता। मेरी समझ यही कहती है कि सरकार को समझाना होगा ये गुस्से भरे युवा आश्वासन नहीं कार्यवाही चाहते है और यदि इस आंदोलन को सख्ती से दबाया गया तो इसके दूरगामी परिणाम राष्ट्रिय हित में नहीं होंगे।

इस परिस्तिथि में महिला तथा इस देश का नागरिक होने के नाते मेरी सरकार से आज यही अपेक्षा है- 1. पुलिस रिफोर्म हो। 2. विशेष संसद सत्र बुला के रेप केस में कड़े कानून बने, जिसमे फांसी तथा आजीवन कारावास का प्रावधान हो। इस अपराध में कोई बेल न मिले, न किसी पैरोल का प्रावधान हो। ये प्रावधान रेप के आलावा तेज़ाब फेंक कर लड़कियों को जिन्दा लाश बनाने वालों के विरुद्ध भी होना चाहिए।3. देश के सभी हिस्सों में रेप केस की सुनवाई हेतु फ़ास्ट ट्रैक कोर्ट बने तथा सुनवाई की समय सीमा तय हो। 4. कानुन तथा पुलिस का भय सिर्फ दिल्ली में नहीं बल्कि देश के दूर दराज क्षेत्रों में भी हो।

Day before yesterday I attended the "Adhivesh" of Rajasthan PCC Office Bearer,AICC & PCC delegates and DCC Presidents at Jaipur in the leadership of Honorable AICC GS Mukul Wasnikji, Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlotji, PCC President Chandrbhanji and AICC SecArun Yadav ji. It was a whole day long interactive session. I must say, "MAHFIL E KHASH" was the dinner at CM house :). Enjoyed the stay at Jaipur till 18th.

"अर्थशास्त्र के शिक्षक ने कुछ दिनों के बाद उनको समझाया होगा, "तुम्हारी पत्नी मर गयी. इससे तुम्हें बहुत नुकसान हुआ. स्कूल में मास्टरनी थी, दो सौ रुपये महीना कमाती थी. घर का खाना, दूसरे काम, बच्चों की देख-रेख, कपड़े धोना, झाडू लगाना बहुत से काम करती थी. कोई काम कराने वाली औरत होती तो इतने काम का कम-से-कम सौ रूपये लेती और रद्दी काम करती. इमानदारी से तुम्हारी गृहस्थी की देख-रेख नहीं करती. गन्दी होती,

उज्जड होती, चोर होती. तुम्हारी पत्नी तुम्हारे साथ बिस्तर पर सोती थी. अब तुम्हारे बिस्तर पर कोई नहीं सोयेगा. इसके लिए बाज़ार में तुम कितने भी सस्ते-से काम चलाओ, आधे घंटे के कम-से-कम दो रुपये लग जायेंगे.वह बिस्तर कैसा होगा, इसका अंदाज़ लगा लों. बदनामी का डर रहेगा. नौकरी जाने का भी डर रहेगा.- अब तुम हिसाब करके बतलाओ, एक महीने में तुम्हें कुल कितने रुपये का नुकसान हुआ?"

इसका परिणाम यह हुआ कि उन्होंने दूसरी शादी कर ली."

पंजाब में कुछ युवकों ने एक पंजाब पुलिस अफसर रविंदर पल सिंह की दिन दहाड़े गोली मार कर हत्या कर दी क्योंकि उसने उनके अपनी बेटी के साथ छेड़ -छाड़ करने के लिए आपत्ति जताई थी।
सही भी है ,किस बात की आपत्ति? अब लड़की है तो तैयार रहो की आते जाते भारत के सपूत छेड़ेंगे भी। बैंक में नौकरी करती थी ...अब यह भी गलत है न? क्यूँ पढाया उसको और क्या ज़रूरत है घर से बाहर भेजने की ? आज कल तो वैसे ही वापस से लड़कियों की जल्दी शादी, सर ढक कर बाहर जाना और मोबाइल नहीं रखने जैसे अच्छी बातें उठ कर आ रही हैं।
तैयार रहो अगर बेटी है तो यह सब होगा ...बाप और भाई मारे जायेंगे, या उसका बलात्कार होगा और कहीं बच गयी तो दहेज़ तो है ही।
वाह रे भारत ...फिर हम पूछते है की 'कन्या भ्रूण हत्या क्यों?'

आज कल तो खुबसूरत दिखने में भी डर लगता है..... लड़की होना ही क्या काफी नहीं है...  

इस देश में स्कूल बने न बने, अस्पताल बने न बने, गरीबों के सर पर छत बने न बने, अनाथ बेसहारा के लिए आश्रय बने न बने, गावों और शहरों को जोड़ने वाली सड़के बने न बने ........ इनके लिए सड़क पे उतर के कोई नहीं लड़ता, पर देश में स्मारकों और मूर्तियों का बनाना बेहद जरुरी है... इसके लिए सब किसी भी हद तक जाने को तैयार है...

आखिर ये घनोत चीज क्या है... पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री के पुत्र श्री चौटाला तथा दिल्ली बी जे पी के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष श्री मल्होत्रा दोनों ही बड़े सम्मान से उन्हें "घनोत साहब" बुलाते है... क्या वाकई में वो इन लोगों के इतने सम्मान के हक़दार है ???????? :-/

Friends before around four month we raised our voice everywhere in govt system for justice in Geeta dowry death case, but no body helped. Rajasthan police didnt act on this case and didnt do any arresting till more than one month. Than case has been transferred to CBCID on the request of accused family, even victim's family requested not to transfer the case. When CBCID also didnt call case file till one month, the propose had shown that they wanted to weak this case. Than we mate CM, after that only IO appointed by CBCID. Now we felt it will impossible to get any justice here in this situation, as accused family has influence (Geeta's husband's Aunty is a daughter of EX MP, his Aunty's son is a IAS, his uncle is a RPS, and one Uncle is President Jaat mahasabha) in the system. Than we decided to go to High Court for justice. And after a long struggle Geeta got the justice from Rajsthan High Court. High court ordered to arrest all three accused ( as par Ratangar DSP's report). Thanks to judiciary system, but still thinks why our society and system is so insensitive in women issues. 

Here i would also like to thanks Vibhuti Bhushan Sharma who gave us a best lawyer, who without coming in any influance, gain this victory for Geeta and tries to provide her justice. And also DSP Ratangarh, who gives an unbiased report. But its only a first step towards the justice, MANJIL ABHI BAAKI HAI.
